About Pangarchula Trek:
The Pangarchula Trek is a mesmerizing journey through the Garhwal Himalayas, offering a perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty. The trek takes you through a variety of landscapes, including dense oak and rhododendron forests, expansive alpine meadows, and rocky ascents, culminating in a summit climb that rewards you with awe-inspiring panoramic views.
The journey begins in Karchi Village (Auli), a picturesque village famous for its ski slopes and stunning mountain views. As you ascend, you’ll traverse through serene forests and vibrant meadows dotted with wildflowers. Along the way, trekkers often encounter local shepherds and small Himalayan villages, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich culture and traditions.
Reaching the summit of Pangarchula is a challenging yet rewarding experience. From the top, you’ll be treated to a magnificent view of some of India’s most iconic peaks, including Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Hathi-Ghoda, and Mana. The sense of accomplishment at the summit is unparalleled, making the effort worth every step.
This trek is best undertaken between April to June and September to November, when the weather is clear, and the views are at their most spectacular. Whether you’re an experienced trekker or looking for a new adventure, Pangarchula promises an unforgettable experience that combines thrill, beauty, and tranquility.
Day 1: Arrival at Karchi.

Travel to Karchi: Arrive by road.
Accommodation: Local guesthouses or camps.
Acclimatization: Explore the village.
Day 2: Karchi to Khullara Campside
Distance: 6 to 7 km
Duration: 5-7 hours
Details: Ascend through beautiful forests of Bluepine, golden oak hasel nutus and meadows.
Lunch: Packed lunch on the trail.
Camp: Set up near the Kuaripass base.
Highlight: some mejestic peak of gadwal himalayas like mt .Dronagiri (7066m). hatti Ghodi Kamet (india 2nd highest peak) Mana. Mandir and all
Rest : relax and enjoy the Evining (sun set)
Day 3: Kuaripass Summit and Return to khullara Campside
Early Start: Pre-dawn ascent to summit.( We start around 9am in morning)
Summit Push: Reach Kuaripass (4,600 m), enjoy views of Mighty Himalayas
Distance: 7 km ( 3.5km Sumit 3.5 back to khullara)
Descent: Return to base camp for lunch.
Rest: Relax and enjoy the evening.
DAY 4 : khullara camp to pangarchull back to khullara camp
Early Start: Pre-dawn ascent to summit.
Summit Push: we start around 2 pm in night to Reach pangarchull (,4800 m), enjoy views.befor 8am.because in mountain weather changes very fast and also in day time snow melt and pangarchula have alot of bolder season to cross.
Descent: Return to base camp for lunch.
Highlight: morning sunrise from they pangarchull top on peak they peak
Rest: Relax and enjoy the evening.
Day 5: Khullara Camp to Karchi
Return Trek: Descend back to Karchi.
Duration: 4-6 hours.
Reflection: Take your time on the descent.
Evening: Celebrate completion in Karchi.
Day 6: Karchi to Rishikesh
Head gear:
1:fully fleeces liner cap and sun cap
2:Woollen face mask /balak lava
3:uv protected and polarized goggles(use in snow)
Upper body:
1:basic thermals
2: treking Full sleeve T-shirt
3: woollen sweaters
4: fleece jacket
5:padded jacket (wind proof water proof)
6: water proof hand gloves
Lower body:
1: basic thermals
2: trekking trousers
3: polyester trekking socks
4: woollen socks
Sleeping Gear:
1:Insulated sleeping bag rated for sub-zero temperatures.
2:Inflatable sleeping pad for added comfort.
Safety Gear:
1:High altitude medical first-aid kit.
2:Oxygen cylinder(Optional)
3:Walkie talkie(Optional)
4:Emergency whistle and headlamp with extra batteries.
Hydration:
Insulated water bottles or hydration bladder.
Water purification tablets or filter.
Extras:
High-SPF sunscreen and lip balm.
Trekking poles for stability on varied terrain.
Dry sacks .
Inclusions:
1:Accommodation: In alpine or dome-style shared camps/tents during the trek
2:Meals include from Day 1 Dinner to Last Day Breakfast. Meals will be simple and primarily vegetarian (Bed Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Snacks, and Dinner).
3:Snow Gear: Crampons (shoe spikes) and Gaiters for snow trekking.
4:Transportation: Roundtrip transportation from Rishikesh to Rishikesh by non-AC vehicle (Fare not included).
5:Forest Permit(Trekking and entry into protected areas)
Exclusions:
1:Anything not listed in inclusions.
2:Individual cost whilst on excursion or emergency including alcohol.
3:Individuals trekking equipment (trek sticks, trekking shoes, poncho, gloves, and warm woollen cap-shot)/ publish bag & jackets
4:Mules or porters for baggage.
5:Medical certificate is mandatory for Kuari Pass and all related Treks.(Make sure to bringe a medicle report)
